DJ INFERNO SHEDS LIGHT ON UP-AND-COMING RAPPERS WITH NEW ALBUM NO GUARANTEES

Last month, Los Angeles’ artist DJ Inferno dropped his debut album, No Guarantees. The project held 10 tracks, each showcasing Inferno’s potential as a major player in the West Coast hip-hop scene.

No Guarantees tells the story of working hard in the pursuit of your dreams and the importance of collaboration in the journey.

“If you want something, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll get it,” Inferno told Hip Hop Hundred. “But if you put in the work day-in and day-out, you’ll surely get the result you want.”

The intro track’s 20th Century theme music is successful at creating hype early in the album, transitioning swiftly into the impressive list of features. No Guarantees features nine up-and-coming independent artists, headlined by SoCal’s Kyle Banks and 4L JAVI, and The Bay Area’s SLE REKE.

Notable tracks include “Do It Crazy” (feat. Lil Keith), and “Secrets” (feat. A.C.)—both sounds that make you bop and sway, then calm you down for a chill night in.

Aside from tracking down talent, Inferno excells at pushing artists to their creative limits and capturing the vast range of hip hop in his music.

“I want [people] to just listen to the album from top to bottom and listen to what’s being said,” Inferno told Hip Hop Hundred. “Each track has some type of message that relates to the overall message of ‘no guarantees.’ Whether that be in life, relationships, your hustle.”

While his day-one fans may anticipate his characteristic EDM sound, Inferno proves on No Guarantees that recognizes the need to show off his newfound passion for California thumping-basses under melodic verses—and it certainly caught our attention.
