EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH 310BABII

Despite just graduating high school this past June, the Inglewood rapper is already celebrating a platinum record.
I first sat down with 310babii in the green room of the Ventura Music Hall in early May 2024. We had about 20 minutes before the 18-year-old was set to take the stage for his “Off The Xtras” Tour with fellow Los Angeles rapper, OhGeesy.
310babiii had a hell of a past year. He has skyrocketed to performing at festivals like Rolling Loud and Coachella, and was recently brought out at Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out — Ken and Friends” event at the KIA Forum in Inglewood. His top single “soak city (do it)” has amassed over 150 million streams on Spotify alone, and his debut project, nights and weekends, carries features from BIA, DDG, Luh Tyler, 03 Greedo, D. Savage, Tyga, and others.
And he’s done it all as a teenager.
I asked 310babii about his complex day-to-day schedule. Up until graduation about a month after our interview, he had been balancing a budding rap career while still attending high school.
“School gives me that balance,” he says. “Having school is like a ‘reset.’ Sometimes I wish I could be out on tour more, but having school has allowed me to stay on point.”
As summer hits and 310babii officially enters post-high school life, he also credits his friends, family, and professional team for keeping his focus straight. Without school, he is now also able to commit to bigger shows and events.
In July he’s set to join the Rolling Loud Europe team in Vienna, Austria — his first time ever out of the country, he tells UNDRGRND.
“I’ve attracted a good group of individuals,” 310babii says. “Everybody’s hungry. We’re all trying to get it at the end of the day, and that’s why I think we’re succeeding and going up.”
His new single, “rock your hips,” feat. OhGeesy and BlueBucksClan (prod. GotDamnitDupri) is a solid follow-up to “soak city (do it).” And as if his summer wasn’t busy enough, 310’s showing back to LA for his headlining graduation show at The Novo DTLA — an all ages event planned for June 29th of this year.
310babii is realistically the fastest growing name in the current Los Angeles rap market. His energy and his youth have the city excited — a city that’s been waiting for a new superstar to emerge really since the pandemic. When asked about his long term music plans, 310babii assures me that he’s locked in for the long haul.
