CHRIS THE THR!LLEST HITS HIS MELODIES ON FAN OF A PHANTOM

Christopher Stanton, the Inglewood-native turned Carpinteria-resident better known as “Chris The Thr!llest”, continues to make noise with his latest project, Fan Of A Phantom. The seven-track album, which officially hit streaming platforms on Feb. 12, 2021, is his third album in just a two year span.
Followers of Stanton have noticed the difference in approach and style he used to complete Fan Of A Phantom, which boasted an impressive melodic sound throughout.
“I took a lot of people by surprise,” Stanton says of his most recent project, “whether it was the RnB style or the overall quality of the album.”
Stanton’s transformation to finding his RnB vibe can be credited to where he found himself on a personal level during the recording process.

“This approach was true to where I was finding myself,” Stanton says, who found inspiration and extra time to grind in the studio for Fan Of A Phantom during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Every song is based off of an experience that I had gone through in a different time of my life, so I let the album form itself.”
Fan Of A Phantom includes features from local artists such as OG David James and Kalahari. Shooting for the overall RnB sound, Stanton’s calculated feature selection undoubtedly helped him fulfill that vision.
“I knew what kind of delivery I wanted for this project,” he says. “Both [OG David James and Kalahari] came through exactly how I wanted and even exceeded my expectations.”
Fans can expect multiple more projects from Stanton coming in 2021. According to the UNDRGRND Issue 2 artist, a music video for Fan Of A Phantom’s “Can’t Have” (feat. OG David James) is currently in the works.
