Jimmy2$hoez (real name James Terrell III) is a 24-year-old up and coming rapper, actor, and model straight out of the Bay Area. After graduating high school in Vallejo, Calif., Jimmy2$hoez kicked off a professional baseball career. Three years later in 2019, he decided to move to Los Angeles in pursuit of his dreams in the entertainment industry.

Realizing quickly all of the opportunities that were present for him, he got his foot in the door of the modeling industry. There he met his good friend, Neex (@36neex), who helped him land more jobs and make enough money to become an independent model. Jimmy2$hoez has done work with big brands such as MNML, NOT GEEKS, and many others.

Fast forward to 2021, and Jimmy2$hoez is now a rapper, and founder and CEO of All-Time Great Records (ATG). He says that the label’s goal is to teach artists how to navigate the music industry.

“After an artist is done with us, or their contract is up,” Jimmy2$hoez says, “they’ll have all the necessary knowledge and connections to become a successful independent artist.”

Jimmy2$hoez became interested in a music career after hopping on a track for the first time during a sudio session with his homies Leo (@bignicoya) and Marcus (@333cooyah). He attributes his passion for music to his family and the melting-pot of artists and creatives that is Vallejo.

Jimmy2$hoez has been known by his nickname for almost a decade. The name was inspired by a character from the movie Goodfellas (1990).

2$hoez recently released his first EP, The Player’s Champ. The project just surpassed 5k streams, and is the first of five that the artist plans to release in 2021. His second project is currently in the works with the help of producer and engineer, Big Rula (@big_rula_rules). The album is also set to include a collaboration with rapper and UNDRGRND Magazine co-owner, Pofsky (@trappofsky).

The 24 year old hopes to build his acting career in the future as well, having initiated the process by working on the sets of various music videos. Most notably, he acted in the music video for “Got it All” by Blxst (feat. Dom Kennedy).

He has the mentality of giving 100%, the mindset needed to survive in the entertainment industry.

“No matter what you do, you should strive to be the best, and if you do that, you’ll land in a pretty good spot by the end of the day,” Jimmy2$hoez. “Other than being the best, [I want to be] able to provide a helping hand to those who are in need of help in this industry.”

Jimmy2$hoez is an individual to keep an eye on. With some fire tracks on the way and an all-or-nothing work ethic, he’s only headed up from here. Make sure to go and check out Jimmy2$hoez’s most recent EP, The Player’s Champ, and stay on the lookout for his new project expected to dropin early April. You won’t want to miss it.

“If you want to do anything, my only advice is just to live life to the fullest. We all are capable and all have more than enough to accomplish anything we want on this Earth,” Jimmy2$hoez says. “The defining factor is: how bad do you want it? Simple as that.”
