Meet Jonnie Bars, a 34-year-old hip hop artist currently livin' in Pomona, CA. After being influenced by “The Dope Spot” — a local showcase of artists, comedians, and creatives alike — Jonnie found the passion within himself to create music.

According to Jonnie, meeting the producer, IRkdm, helped him find and develop his sound. This relationship ultimately led him to have his first official SoundCloud release in 2015

In the past few years Jonnie has been working with many other producers, but found eccentric chemistry with Soul.Dope.95 and JMKM. On the quest of crafting his own style, Jonnie intends on working with more producers and artists to broaden his horizons and expand his music network.

Beyond the making of his own music, Jonnie has a passion for throwing events and giving back to the community.

“I want to make an impact and help create a productive culture as a non-profit," Jonnie claims. "I want to help people get started — those in the same position that I was back in 2015.”

Jonnie has played a key role in producing “The Ripple Effect” which is a non-profit showcase highlighting a variety of up-and-coming producers and beat makers. Both Jonnie and The Ripple Effect exhibit a clear passion for representing the people who are normally not spoken for.
