The 818 streetwear brand is just a few months into business but represents lifelong communal roots

Isaac Castañeda tells UNDRGRND that his introduction into street fashion came from his older brother.

“Instead of being in the streets selling drugs or gangbanging, my brother was inspired by streetwear creators who where making clothes — brands like DGK, The Hundreds, and Cookies”

As Isaac got older, he became inspired by streetwear looks himself. A Southern California native, he began to take notice of fashion trendsetters like YG and Tyga, and boss icons like Nipsey Hussle, Berner, and Milo from Asaali. In March 2024, Isaac paired up with childhood friend, Isaac Camat, officially launching “K1ng$bury” — an exclusive luxury streetwear brand named after the street that the duo grew up on.

Both Isaacs were born in The 818 / Valley area, but are quickly working to expand their own fashion influence on the greater Los Angeles market.

“As soon as we started there was a lot of love from all over The 818," says Isaac Castañeda. "But I want K1ng$bury to be everywhere. I want the brand to make it out of The Valley.”

As K1ng$bury navigates its first few months of business, they’ve began to see attention from their "HOODSTAR" summer drop — a Grand Theft Auto inspired collection made for "the hustlers putting on for their city," says Isaac Castañeda. "The designs represent the certain adrenaline that you only know if you grew up in LA."

Finding success out of their struggles, the boys on K1ng$bury are certainly a family worth supporting.

“We’re young, but we grew up together as men, and have stayed together,” says Isaac Castañeda. “We understand loyalty, respect, and discipline — the three characteristics of a king.”
