Hometowns: Long Beach & Carson, CA

ColiNTooCoLd, SNDMAY & Milly are three Issue 13 solo artists who frequently drop & perform together. The three have been friends for a handful of years, and showcase a variety of melodic rap and RnB sounds. They each have their own unique energy, bringing nothing but good vibes to our Issue 13 Media Day. They’ve released a number of records together, collabing most recently on SNDMAY’s The Magic Show in Sept. 2024. The tape is well-crafted, reminding me of a modern SoCal/RnB version of 2018’s YBN: The Mixtape.

SNDMAY is an artist and music engineer raised in Carson but currently attending college in Long Beach where he’s studying biochemistry. The Aries has been making music for seven years, telling UNDRGRND he finds influence from the likes of Kanye West, Bino Rideaux, Chris Brown, Daniel Caesar, and others.

Reppin’ Long Beach through and through, ColiNTooCoLd brings an impressive melodic range and traditional West Coast flow to the Issue 13 cover. In Oct. 2024 he collabed with TopDolla on “Free Game,” a single that showcases a whole different side of CTC from his appearances on The Magic Show.

Lastly, Milly is the newest of the three to start releasing music on a professional level. He is also a CSULB student and Long Beach native, shouting out Crystal Thai Cambodian Cuisine in LB as his all-time favorite food spot. He tells us Wintertime and are his two major music influences. In 2023, Milly teamed up with ColiNTooCoLd for a 2-pack EP 2Night, followed by his first solo release — “TwoFourSeven” — in Summer 2024.
