Meet Maximillian K. Morten, a 29-year-old rapper from Ventura Calif. who spent much of his childhood and most of adulthood in Louisville, Kentucky. Max acts as two different artists—"Maximillian", and his music alter ego "Maxtha Metaphr". As a former member of The 805-based rap group "Konnekted", Max has made roots in the music game out here in Ventura County, although he considers Louisville, Kentucky (where he relocated when he was 12) to be another home. The former athlete is just a couple weeks away from the release of "Maximillian's" debut album "Love Letters", so Andrew from Undrgrnd caught up with the UofL alum to talk the upcoming tape, the importance of 90s nostalgia in his sound, and who has the better jump shot.

tysu goes UNDRGRND

Tyus Lui, a.k.a. "tysu", is a Lo-fi beat producer born and raised in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The 20-year-old UCSD junior is set to release his debut album "Window Seat" this August, a project that is going to be distributed in coordination with Lo-fi monolith, ChilledCow. Andrew from Undrgrnd was able to chop it up with the Lo-fi prodigy on his upcoming music, the low-profile fame that comes with the genre, and his trip to Tokyo, Japan.
