High Rollaz

The rap duo known as High Rollaz originates from Las Vegas, Nevada, and consists of Diamond Jayy, 25, and Bash, 23. The duo's bond extends back to their childhood, having grown up together, and even attending the same Sunday school — which was where their musical inclinations began with Jayy gravitating towards the drums, and Bash to the piano.
"We've always been around music but never really tried to rap or create music," Bash said.
Despite the early exposure to music, it wasn’t until three years ago where they joined forces and unveiled their first EP, "Angels Aura," in 2021, marking the beginnings of the High Rollaz formation.
”We’ve just always had this chemistry,” Jayy said. “We played instruments with each other, we always shared the kind of music we fucked with, we were always bouncing off of each other.”
Over the past three years, the two have learned to collaborate effectively and understand each other's strengths. While they share music influences like 03 Greedo, Kalan.FrFr, and BlueBuckClan, they also bring individuality and embrace their differences in the creative process.
”Jayy has a lot of character, he’s a good story teller and is good in putting that perspective into our music,” Bash said. “I’m more of a melodic person trying to figure out the structure of the song but [Jayy] really brings that color to it.”
Their most recent album, “Gameboy,” released on June 30, 2023.
”We definitely found our sound I would say in that project,” Jay said. “We’ve had other mixtapes before but we had like other friends and stuff that we did it with, but we were trying to strictly cut that down and focus on us,” Bash said.
Currently, the two are working on their third studio album and are in the process of releasing a new single that "embodies the essence of High Rollaz."
”We made the beat randomly and the way it came out, I think just screams our name. That's the only reason why it's going to be a single,” Bash said.
