Kado Brown ("KollegeKado") represents “The 805” (or “The Five” as he’d put it) as well as anybody. His smooth rap flow and braggadocious lyrics combine to make him one of the most entertaining artists from our first issue of UNDRGRND Magazine. Kollege first grabbed our attention with his 2018 music video for his hit-single “Blueberry Drip” (produced by Texas artist Trap Donte), which remains one of his most popular tracks to date. Kollege dropped a plethora of anthems throughout 2019, including a 6-song EP titled Dirty Gold Saturn, which contains fan-favorite track “Venom.”
In addition to recording music, Kollege was a standout college football player, playing quarterback for Moorpark College before eventually transferring to Georgia Southern University (GSU) on a sports scholarship. His football and music lives have been known to cross paths on occasion. Kollege signed an ESPN synchronization license for “Swag Like Chad,” a track dedicated to his GSU head coach, Chad Lunsford.
Aside from releasing dope content, Kollege impresses us with his ability to branch out and work creatively with others. He boasts a ton of features throughout his discography, including songs with Pofsky, Rafik, Deo Cane, J $auce, Knotti—the list goes on and on. His most recent collaboration came the way of his 2020 project with fellow Ventura native, White Chocolate, titled Big Very Yee. Back home in Southern California, the former-QB has now taken on another venture—directing and editing music videos for his company, KollegeKadoVisuals, and managing Ventura rapper RiiicoBandz.
