Mu$ty

Issue 11

Hometown: Little Armenia / East Hollywood, CA

One of the founding members of No Entry Ave, Mu$ty is a soulful vocalist and songwriter born in East Hollywood but raised in the Little Armenia area of Los Angeles County. Making music personally for over six years now, Mu$ty credits No Entry teammates Virtue O.s.O & Saidan as major influences on kick starting his career, while also finding inspiration from more mainstream acts like Azizi Gibson and TDE’s Isaiah Rashad.

In December 2023, Mu$ty led the No Entry team to an opening performance spot for WuTang Clan at @thenovodtla. “Man, it was one of the best feelings I’ve had in my life,” Mu$ty says of the night. “Being able to do that and leave people with an impression of who I am as an artist and as a human.”

Outside of music, Mu$ty is a certified hooper and dedicated #Lakers fan. He tells UNDRGRND Magazine that he also enjoys playing ping pong, hitting #Sugarfish for some sushi, and notes “Four Brothers” (2005) as his all-time favorite movie.

“It all begins with being fans of each other’s music first and foremost. Just the simple fact that we are enjoying the art made by others and more than just our own art. 10,000 hours overtime it just starts to click. We rented a studio and literally took turns, punching each other in one by one, walking in the booth, punching it. It’s been a lot of time and a lot of hours, but we stay fans of each others’ music.”
