GET TO KNOW: Yung Sela, our lone #Oxnard representative gracing the cover of Issue 9: “FOURTH QUARTER."

Attendees of our Issue 8: “NEXTGEN” Release Event in Ox this past August got an early look at Yung Sela — the Gemini rocked the mic during an opening slot performance at @mrsolsonscoffeehut Sela’s been dropping music consistently since his early high school days at Adolfo #Camarillo High School. The boy’s dropped eight singles so far in 2023, and recently filmed a music video for “805 PHONK” (August 2023 single) with Texas-to-Santa Barbara videographer @filmbybris @c.t_film.

When asked his absolute “dream collab” on a track, Yung Sela shoutsout #Seshollowaterboyz’ #XavierWulf as his top choice. He tells #UNDRGRNDMagazine that ‘Dawbird’ remains his go-to producer. One thing that impresses me about Yung Sela, is the community and family support he comes from. It’s apparent that he has the support of his friends, close family, and his neighborhood. Big props to Sela for doing his thing and reppin’ Oxnard & 805 culture in general through and through.

Outside of music, Yung Sela is a straight hustler—not only does he currently take classes through CCI, but he is actively training as an X-Ray Tech as well. His all-time favorite movie is “Blood In Blood Out” (1993), and his goated food spot is Suisen Ramen & Sushi in Oxnard. A pleasure to work with an artist and hard worker like him for this upcoming magazine.
